A Long Beach where no one grieves alone.
New Hope's mission: bereaved adults, children and families finding hope and healing through connection and support.
The premise
Grief does not stay at home. It comes to work, to class and to the holiday table. New Hope offers peer-led circles where loss can be spoken. The proposed vision extends that care outward by helping the people around a grieving person respond well, and by keeping support affordable.
Connection over isolation
Peer groups create belonging with people who understand.
Every age
Adults, children, teens and whole families each have a place.
Specific losses
Dedicated circles for suicide loss and child loss.
Community-wide
Schools, workplaces and civic partners as allies, not substitutes.
The boundary that keeps it safe
New Hope offers peer-led support, not individual therapy or clinical treatment. Any proposed training reinforces that boundary and teaches when and how to refer.
